Housing Residential Life
Application Process
The online housing application is available at 9:00a.m. on January 20, 2010. Roommate search and selection, as well as room self-selection are based on the date your complete application was received.  Applications received by 3:00p.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010 will be in the 1st Round of Roommate Placement.

To complete the application you’ll need to have a couple of things handy:

  • Campus email address and password – This will be used to log onto the online application portal.
  • Debit card/credit card – This will be used to pay your deposit at the end of the application process.
  • Health insurance information. Only mutual requests will be honored.
  • Contact information for your financial guarantor/co-signer if you are under 24 years old – This person will share financial responsibility for the cost of your housing. You’ll need to provide basic contact information including: first & last name, address, phone number, etc.

The Guarantor/Co-Signer will need to complete and sign the Financial Guarantor/Co-Signer Form and return it to the Housing Office. The form is available as a PDF document on the Forms, Publications and Useful Web Links website. For your ease and convenience you will also be able to download it directly within the online application.

The housing application will automatically direct to you the application appropriate to your class standing. For example, if you are a first-time freshman with no units you will be placed in the application process for Freshman Housing. If you are a transfer or continuing student with completed units recorded with CSU Stanislaus you will be directed into the Upperclass application process.

The following tables summarize the steps you’ll go through once you are in the application portal. Each step is clearly labeled and easy to follow. In fact, you can interrupt the process and then get back in a couple of hours later to complete your application.
