Housing Residential Life
Campus Safety
Housing and Residential Life maintains a close working relationship with our University Police Department. Together we strive to provide our residents with a safe living-learning community where they can focus on their studies, meet new friends, and enjoy their university experience.

Our facility has a number of features and mechanisms in place to help our residents feel both at home and secure in their living environment. We offer our residents:

  • A gated community
  • Nightly rounds performed by both Resident Advisors and University Police Officers
  • In-room emergency 9-1-1 telephones
  • Resident RAD sessions (self-defense course)
  • Emergency “blue light” telephones throughout the complex

In addition to these features we also enjoy a strong relationship with our various University police officers. These officers work closely with our Resident Director and Resident Advisors to be aware of events and activities, promote safety workshops, and maintain an awareness of other issues of concern and importance to residents.

California State University, Stanislaus offers our students a community of learners where residential life is characterized by a passion for life-long learning, an understanding of the importance of learning to be autonomous, and the core belief that our residents are able to grow, learn and reflect while surrounded by a community of their peers. To ensure this we proactively seek out information and opportunities through which we can improve and build upon our existing programs and services.
