Housing Residential Life
Application Process

International students complete the online application when requesting on campus housing.  Prior to beginning the online application, it’s good to know a little bit about how the process works:

What is a housing application?

A housing application is a contract/lease agreement for a select number for days.

Can I move out of housing anytime I choose?

No, an individual chooses a housing contract/lease agreement for a specific date range.  During these dates a student is committed to living on campus and must pay the fees.

The following are the contract/lease dates for this coming year:

Academic Year Lease Agreement

August 18, 2012 May 25, 2013

Fall Term Lease Agreement

(International Single Tern & Graduating Seniors Only)

August 18, 2012 December 20, 2012
Intersession-Spring Lease Agreement
January 2, 2013 May 25, 2013
Spring Term Lease Agreement
January 2, 2013 May 25, 2013

What if I want to move out?  Is there a way to do this?

Yes, an individual can Petition to Cancel their housing contract/lease agreement.   Requests are considered based on the reasons for cancellation identified in sections VI and VII of the Housing License Agreement.  The request is submitted to the Housing Director for review and approval or denial.

To complete the application you’ll need to have a couple of things handy:

  • MyCSUSTAN Login Information – This will be used to access the online housing application and requires authentification prior to use.  You will need to initialize your student account BEFORE you can start the housing application.  Click here to intialize your account.
  • Credit card – This will be used to pay your deposit at the end of the application process.  The university accepts American Express, Discover and MasterCard.  VISA is not accepted.  You will use your MyCSUSTAN account to access the online payment system.    NOTE:  You can request to have your deposit and 1st payment deferred by submitting the International Student Deposit & 1st Payment Deferment Request.   See link to the form below.

An application is not considered complete until Housing and Residential Life has received the following:
