The conference is proud to host speakers from many U.S. universities, and industrial organizations, as well as numerous international academic institutions and industrial organizations. We are pleased with such a diverse group of participants and we would like to extend a warm wel-come to all.
This year's conference will again be held in beautiful Cocoa Beach, Florida at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront Hotel. The hotel is only a short distance from both Orlando International Airport and Melbourne Regional Airport. Kennedy Space Center and Spaceport USA are immediately north of Cocoa Beach. A little farther north are Daytona Beach and St. Augustine, America’s oldest city. The nearby BEELINE Expressway takes you directly to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, MGM Studios, Sea World, and Universal Studios. Cape Canaveral, the third largest cruise port in the country, is also nearby and offers short cruises to the Bahamas.
In keeping with the spirit of Florida and informal nature of the conference, casual dress is encouraged.
Shuttle Service from Airport to Hotel
From Melbourne Regional Airport:
Please call the Airport Shuttle Service at (800) 826-4544 (Florida residents only) or (321) 724-1600. A 24-hour advance notice is required. Rates are $45.00 for the first person and $10 for each additional person. Groups of 9-10 receive a special rate. Departures run for every incoming flight.
From Orlando International Airport: Please call the Cocoa Beach Shuttle Service at
(321) 784-3831 (out of Florida participants may call toll free 1-800-633-0427). The rate is $36.00 per person one way, or $72.00 round trip between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.; rates may be higher for travel at other times of the day. A reservation is required at least 24 hours in advance.
The Holiday Inn Oceanfront Hotel is located approximately one hour from the Orlando Interna-tional Airport. Upon leaving the airport, watch for the BEELINE Expressway (SR 528) to the beaches. Go east across the intracoastal waterway and Port Canaveral. The BEELINE merges with A1A just past the port as it makes a right hand turn heading south. The hotel will be on your left.
