Strategic & Safe Location (Picture Perfect Campus!)

California State University is a university with many good things to offer you:

A most beautiful 228 acres of tranquil and picturesque, park-like campus with waterfalls, ponds, bridges, trees and flowers you can smell on your way to class!!

Enjoy our scenic surrounding region as we are located within a relatively short drive from San Francisco; Lake Tahoe, the Pacific Ocean and Yosemite National Park. We offer you extracurricular activities; and friendly students, staff and faculty waiting to meet you!

We Can Help You

It is my pleasure to assist you in any way I can. Like you, I was once an international student. I completed my graduate studies at Georgetown University in Washington, DC and can relate to many of your concerns. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have as you prepare for your exciting student experience in the USA. I will help you obtain a US student visa before you leave your country. Once you arrive on our campus, my staff and I will be here to help you with registering for classes and adjusting to university life.

Lifelong Successful Career

Do you want to be prepared for a lifelong and successful career? Do you want to better understand how the world operates? Our distinguished academic faculty will give you a new perspective on the world. Your talents will be challenged here as we strive to be a competitive and globally-oriented campus.

Paradigm Shift: Prepare for the Global Economy

Integration and Cooperation Replace Cold War Rhetoric

Life must be lived forward, but it can only be understood backwards. The role of the university is to prepare you for the future so that you can face the new challenges of the global village. The aim is to graduate students that can successfully function in a global, interconnected economy. We provide activities and community resources designed to promote friendly international understanding of cross-cultural diversity issues on campus and in the community.

Making the World a Better Place

Our objective is simple: we want to be an open minded community of learners making the world a better place -- by creating new standards in higher education that support world peace, mutual respect and understanding. You are welcome to join our university to learn, but I hope that you will also teach us something about your country and culture! It all begins here! I look forward to making your acquaintance.

Welcome to CSU Stanislaus: You are someone Special here!

You may always come to my office to discuss a problem or just to find a listening ear. I want your time here to be happy and successful. My international students are known on campus as VIPs : Very International Persons!

I am planning to make several trips around the world each year. I will try to meet with you personally if at all possible - just let me know so we can arrange it! Lunch on me!

Questions, Comments, Suggestions?

I look forward to hearing from you soon and personally welcoming you to CSU Stanislaus. If you need any help, please remember that I am your friend. Feel free to contact me by letter, phone, fax, or e-mail.

All the best.
